Our Village

There are some places in the world that capture your heart; there are others that capture your spirit. Bear River does both. This eclectic town is home to individuals from all walks of life, united by their love for this gentle, welcoming village as ever-changing as its tides.

Blue Mind Gallery is located in the village centre. We are in the same historic building as our friendly neighbour, Sissiboo Coffee Roaster. The gallery is wheel-chair accessible.

Do you know that Bear River is a tidal river? The waters from the Bay of Fundy travel all the way up-river to our village. Every 6 hours, the water level rises or falls by 20-30 feet. Our downtown buildings are on stilts!
